It's been too long!!

I am such a bad blogging mommy! It's been a tumultuous month or so here at Aquinas Academy. My dh had some scary medical moments, but has been given a clean bill of health for the first time in over 6 years - Praise God! We had grandma and grandpa come to visit for Easter and lots of fun. We're heavily into our last 3 month "term" of our homeschool. We're adopting an 8 week old lab mix puppy and should be able to pick her up this weekend. And we're painting our kitchen this week. So, even now, I don't have much time for blogging. But I have SO much to say. Lots of school stuff I want to record, since that's the purpose of this blog, after all. Alas, it will have to wait until we get the kitchen is painted, I suspect. But, I am coming back, I promise! And I leave you with a couple new pictures until I can return with more school information...

Here's a nice family picture taken before the Easter Vigil:

Last night I gave the boys a hair cut - nice and short for the Georgia summer. They look so handsome - course I might be a bit biased! :-)

So, I'll post more about our school soon. Things are going well. J1 is doing great, A2 is working hard and I'm feeling more confident that he'll be ready for 2nd grade work next fall. Haven't done much with S3 and N4, though S3 in particular is probably ready. He actually said to me this morning, "Mom, I want to go to "real" school!" So I asked him why and he said, "Cuz then there'd be lunchbreaks."

What? That's right, my poor children don't get lunch? Um - in MY mind, I spend most of my time feeding these 4 ravenous beasts/boys - but apparently I have to work a little harder! :-)

Blessings to you and yours this beautiful late spring week!

Happy Easter!!!

We've had an unintentional Lenten blogging retreat here at the Aquinas Academy. God had much different Lenten sacrifices in mind for our family this year. Regular colds & flu, long-overdue doctor's visits, an ER trip and lots of follow-up for a long-standing, critical medical issue (all is fine so far, thank God). All combined with the normal life in a family of 6 has meant no time for blogging. I apologize, and definitely look forward to getting back to regular posting!

Easter is approaching this evening, and we are all looking forward to the Easter vigil. Grandma and grandpa are visiting, so blogging will remain on haitus for another week.

I wish you all the greatest Easter joy!
