Menu Plan Monday
Hi, all! Gosh, it's been awhile since I've posted! We had a very busy week last week, with doctors appointments, dentist appointments, all sorts of piddly things going on. Hopefully this will be a more normal week cuz I've got a lot of stuff to write!
My menu this week, and for awhile, will be beef-heavy. We got a quarter of a side of local, grass-fed beef last week, and boy is it yummy! Add in our grill and wow! We've been eating good lately - we are so very blessed!! The only downside is the beef is all frozen, and it requires a day or, better yet two, of forethought to get the meat thawing in the fridge. Especially since our microwave died and we're saving for a new stove with a matching hood/microwave combo thing, so we're currently without a micro. Most of the time I don't notice, but it sure would be nice for thawing meat on those days that I forget! :-) At any rate, it makes my menu plan that much more vital for our daily living. So, here goes for this week:
Monday: Hamburger-Broccoli Alfredo casserole, noodles for the kids, side salad
Tuesday: Grilled Sirloin Steak with garlic butter, green beans, baked potato for the kids, side salad
Wednesday: Cuban Fried Steak, rice for the boys, sauteed vegies (probably zuchinni), side salad
Thursday: BBQ pot roast, coleslaw, low-carb "potato" salad, corn muffins for the kids
Friday: Grilled flounder, rice for the boys, broccoli with cheese sauceside salad
Saturday: Grilled hamburgers, french fries or chips for the boys, vegies and dip
Sunday: Grilled rib steaks, huge salad, good bread with butter for the boys
